The special I was involved with for the E! network will first air on October 25th at 2:00 PM EST. The show will be in rotation on E! but will be featured prime time on Halloween night. I hope each of you get a chance to check it.
When you get a chance to go to my site I'd like you to check out my blog page. This gives me a chance to let you tell some of your stories and for me to answer as many of your questions as possible. I think my first topic is an interesting one to get us started.
Several of you have asked questions about the three versions of "The Walrus Was Paul." Here are the facts. The pre-production copy is the black cover published by Excursion productions. There were only 2,000 in print so chances are this edition is collectible. The "psychedelic" multi-color copy was published by Dowling press in Nashville, TN. There were 10,000 copies of this version in print so basically it is collectible as well. The Simon and Schuster (Fireside Books) version is in its ninth printing and thousands of copies are waiting for you at fine bookstores everywhere. If you should see the black covered "Walrus was Paul" at a yard sale, pick it up. This is the first time I've given the numbers and chances are both books may become the next "Hellhounds on Their Trail."
Right now, I'm collecting more stories for a followup to "Take a Walk on the Darkside" and I also plan to start a fascinating rock history. More on that later as I hope to start putting both books together duting the summer.
If you are interested in purchasing a DVD of rock and roll stories from the darkside, you can write the publisher at DarksideDVD@MQMNetworks.com. Many of you have asked for an audio CD of the stories so we plan to make that happen as well. If you send in the phrase "CoasttoCoast" or "RichardSyrett" you'll get a few dollars off. I haven't seen the endproduct put from what I have seen it looks very good. There are sixteen stories with some of your favorites from my radio appearances. There are several new stories as well. Let me know what you think if you should purchase one. I'll try and have more information later.
Peace, Love, and Rock On,
Gary
