I've always liked September. I suppose that's because my birthday is on the second! This will be my pre-birthday newsletter and a few thinks are moving along. First of all, the videos I filmed in LA are now being mixed and edited and should be available online and on DVD. When I get the final word I'll pass it along to you. It should be good in that anytime you want to hear a story from the Rock and Roll Darkside just pop in the DVD and listen to me tell the tale.

Late this week NBC is flying me to New York City to film a few segments for a documentary for E! I'll be back on the weekend but I'll tip you off to the subject area: Curses in the entertainment industry. We will discuss cursed films, which I'm sure will include "The Exorcist," "Poltergeist," and "The Omen." I'll be discussing a few of these concepts including "The Curse of 27." You may be interested in watching a few stories that I haven't brought up on Coast to Coast--yet! The E! documentary will air sometime in October. I would bet just in time for Halloween.

There are two books that I'm developing at this time, but, I must admit, I've put a great deal of time into television and film concepts. The last few years so I believe it's time to get back to the written word.

Do any of you use a Kindle? The new ebook reader from Amazon.Com? My "Take a Walk on the Darkside" is now available as a Kindle selection. If you have a Kindle, I'd love to hear how you enjoy the format. Who knows? I may need to get one for myself.

Since the 50th anniversary of "The Day the Music Died" is approaching this February, I'd like to put together a few special events. I hope to have more news on this next month (if not sooner). If all the pieces fit together it will be incredible. I'm sure that you will be able to hear me on a very powerful radio network close to that fateful date with my friends Peggy Sue and ,hopefully, the Big Bopper,Jr. Right now I'm planning to bring on two more guests who will make the show even more fascinating.

Remember I truly love to hear from you and I promise to do my best in getting back to you as soon as possible. I'll be posting more information on upcoming radio shows soon.

Best Wishes and Rock On!

Gary
