"The Day the Music Died"

Today is the 50th anniversary of the plane crash that took the lives of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, the Big Bopper, and pilot Roger Peterson. Friday night, January 30th, 2009, I had the opportunity to relive the tragedy with Donna Ludwig Fox, Peggy Sue Gerron, and J.P. Richardson, Jr. (The Big Bopper Jr)on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory. Hopefully, you had the chance to listen in to this very emotional eulogy of great loss but a celebration of their music.

If you were a little too young to remember Holly, Valens, and the Big Bopper, perhaps you would like to comment on the loss of an artist whose death represented the day the music died for you? I'd love to read your comments!

I am trying to contact Mr. Patterson. I believe I have stumbled upon a possible 'hidden meaning' in the lyrics of "I Am the Walrus." It may not be true, but an intriguing case could be made that it is an accurate premonition of Lennon's murder. I'm preparing a book, but you've got considerably more cred than I (and, I believe, more writing ability.) If you get this note, and your interested, please contact me at the address below.
